U.S. Equestrian Federation Accepting Bids To Host 2005 USEF Open Reining Championship

Lexington, KY – July 21, 2004 -- The U.S. Equestrian Federation (USEF) is now accepting bids to host the 2005 USEF Open Reining Championship. This prestigious event has been in existence since 1999 and has featured some of the best reiners in the country. In 2002, the Open Reining Championship was used as the Final Selection Trial for the World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain. The resulting team made history by capturing the Team Gold medal and the Individual Gold and Silver medals. In 2004, the Championship became an International event as the Final qualifier for the FEI World Reining Masters Series.

The event is scheduled to be held between May and September of 2005. Deadline for submission is August 31, 2004. Organizers interested in hosting the Open Reining Championship should contact Sherry Frank, Assistant Executive Director of International Disciplines at 859-225-6913.
